Hey folks!

A quick note on what my goal is for this blog.  When I speak with entrepreneurs looking to build freelance marketplaces, the most common challenge they face is in understanding how to set up tech within their budget that can scale.  They often start by getting a quote for building their own platform, but after learning that it’ll be £100k+ for a decent system, they switch to a Google or Quora search of the hosted / cloned marketplace platforms.

Of course, at WhiteLance we offer our own white label marketplace, but in the spirit of helping entrepreneurs understand all available options, I’ll be starting a research project.  This will collate info on available platforms, including in-depth interviews and demos.

I believe that collaboration with competitors offers some great advantages.  It helps avoid duplication of efforts and wasted time in pursuing areas that other companies are better placed to develop.  In my case, I’m interested in learning what other companies are doing, so that I can narrow my focus so that WhiteLance is providing a unique solution – in our case that’s demand-driven freelance marketplaces.
