Add phone number to customer registration page

This guide describes how to create an input field on the customer registration page asking customers to input a phone number when registering to contractor management platforms powered by Whitelance.

On your admin dashboard under settings is the option to ‘Add a phone number input to the Customer registration page and send the data to Intercom?’

When this feature is enabled an input field will appear on the customer registration page as shown below.

This number will be used for two-factor authentication if it is enabled on your platform (it will receive a single-use code to input within a limited time frame). If your platform is integrated with Intercom the phone number will be collected by Intercom so Intercom can be the single source of user data, if you choose.
