The issue
Because of the way our system works, milestones that result in a payout under Stripe’s minimum payout amount will not be paid out to the freelancer, and may produce an error when the customer attempts to approve that milestone.
A fix
To solve this problem, you can go to your freelancer’s Stripe Connected Account balance and manually click the button ‘Payout’. Please note though, that this should only be done when there are no funds in the available balance relating to other milestones, as this will also Payout those funds without their Customer’s permission.
Avoid the issue
To avoid this problem, you should inform your users in your documentation that they should not create or accept milestone with low values.
The exact figure depends on the commission you charge. For example, if the freelancer has a GBP account (where Stripe has a minimum of £1 Payout), and you charge a 50% commission, then that freelancer should not start milestones under £2.50 in value, to account for your commission and the payout fee.
